Twice a year Oakley
Friends run a ten week course for Carers in conjunction with Dorset HealthCare NHS Foundation Trust.
The topics covered include Carer
and Patient Wellbeing, Information about Dementia, Finance and Benefits,
Legal Aspects, Care, Help and Advice Organisations, NHS Services and
Social Services.
These courses are free and aimed
at people who are informal carers of people with dementia. You don't
have to become a member of Oakley Friends in order to attend.
The next Carers Course
starts on April 21st from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Canford Magna
Centre,
Oakley Lane, Canford Magna. The Programme is as follows:
